South Korean actors Song Joong Ki, Choi Sung Eun, Jo Han Chul, and more are confirmed to star in new film My Name Is Loh Kiwan at Netflix. According to Korean tabloid Soompi, based on Jo Hae Jin’s novel “I Met Loh Kiwan” (literal title), My Name is Loh Kiwan tells the story of the meeting, break up, and love between North Korean defector Loh Kiwan (Song Joong Ki), who arrives in Belgium with his last hope, and Marie (Choi Sung Eun), a woman who has lost her reason to live.

Song Joong Ki will turn into Loh Kiwan. As per the character description, “Loh Kiwan struggles to earn the status of a refugee in Belgium, a foreign land he travels to with nothing to his name.” Moreover, Choi Sung Eun will star as professional shooter Marie.

Per the description, Marie has a Belgian citizenship. She has lost the will to live, and eventually falls in love with Loh Kiwan after their first encounter. Meanwhile, Jo Han Chul will portray Marie’s father Yoon Sung, Kim Sung Ryung joins as Ok Hee, Lee Il Hwa will play Marie’s mother Jung Joo, Lee Sang Hee will portray Sun Joo and Seo Hyun Woo will play Loh Kiwan’s uncle Eun Chul.
