6 Budget-friendly options from Brahmastra actress Alia Bhatt’s skincare routine

6 Budget-friendly options from Brahmastra actress Alia Bhatt’s skincare routine

STEP 1 – CLEANSING

A proper cleanser is the first step in any skincare routine. The first thing Alia does is wash her face with a mild cleanser that won’t remove the oils from her skin. Her go-to product is the effective Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansing. Shaheen, on the other hand, splashes some water on her face in the morning but skips washing her face because she has very dry skin. She then moves right on to her second step. She does, however, double cleanse her face for her evening ritual in order to thoroughly clean it. A cost-effective alternative to Citaphil that also contains ceramides and oat lipids is The Derma Co India’s milky jelly cleanser.

STEP 2 – TONING

Before moving on to the serum stage, the actor utilises a toning mist rather than a toner to offer more moisture and nutrients. The mist is a good option because it’s simpler to use and the ingredients penetrate the skin more deeply than a typical toner. She uses the probiotic- and tri-ceramide-rich Byoma Balanced Face Mist. Probiotics help balance out your skin, even out your skin tone, brighten it, and work on minimising your acne, dry skin, inflammation, etc. while adding some extra moisture. Ceramides are the building blocks of the skin carrier and are supposed to nourish the skin. Byoma toning mist has tri ceramides & a very similar option is from the Korean brand Tonymoly India’s Ceramide Wonder toner

STEP – SERUM

Serums are the appropriate model for incorporating actives into your routine. Shaheen enjoys treating herself to them. The first is a hyaluronic serum, which hydrates her dry skin and reduces dryness while also giving the look of plump skin by pulling moisture from the environment to the skin. An incredibly popular and effective humectant for dry skin, hyaluronic serum should be applied to damp skin and locked in with a moisturiser. Another name for this is a moisture sandwich. Her favoured moisturising serum is Skinceuticals Intensifer, which has various humectant molecular sizes to permeate the skin more deeply. Her next step is to apply a ceramide serum to nourish and heal her skin’s broken barrier, which will also calm her complexion. She utilises the avocado extract-containing Glow Recipe Avocado Ceramide Recovery Serum. Avocado is high in lipids and omega-3 fatty acids, two components of a healthy skin barrier. She uses The Ordinary Caffeine Solution on her under-eye area. In addition to reducing puffiness, fine lines, and wrinkles, caffeine helps to brighten the region beneath the eyes. Alia’s preferred serum is the Rhode Peptide Glazing Fluid. Peptides, which are composed of amino acids, encourage the creation of collagen and give hydration to your skin, helping it to become more elastic, firm, and plump. These serums are vital since they concentrate on nourishing and repairing the skin barrier and avoid using potent active ingredients that can irritate sensitive skin, which is always a wise choice. The superb, lightweight Minimalist Multi Peptide serum is a cost-effective substitute for Rhode Peptide glazing fluid. Nonetheless, if you have some extra money to spend, use the ordinary Multi Peptide serum.

STEP 4 – MOISTURISING

Use a moisturiser on top, as Alia and Shaheen did, to seal in all the serum’s advantages. The first uses a lightweight moisturiser that is ideal for her combination complexion, whilst the second chooses to use a little thicker moisturiser because of her skin’s extreme dryness. The ceramide-rich moisturiser D’You In My Defense is a favourite of the new mother. The components in this case serve as an occlusive and moisturising agent. Shaheen uses A-Derma Epitheliate A.H. Ultra Soothing Healing Cream, which is highly effective for sensitive skin without causing it irritation, as advised by her dermatologist. D’you IMD moisturizer is a ceramide-based moisturizer but the Re’equil one is an amazing option as well. If you don’t mind splurging then we would recommend cosrx comfort ceramide cream or cerave moisturizing lotion

STEP 5 – SPF/SUNSCREEN

Both sisters wear sunscreen religiously to shield themselves from UV damage and fight the effects of ageing, which is arguably the most crucial component in the entire process. Alia gave a piece of advice by saying that she always applies enough of sunscreen before applying makeup. The Isdin Fotoprotector Fusion Water SPF 50 was used by the sisters; it is a thin formulation that performs the job and doesn’t leave a white cast. Isdin Fusion water sunscreen has a lightweight watery texture just like that of the dot and key skincare Vit C+ E bright sunscreen. Loreal Paris UV defender would be a good option as well

STEP 6: LIP BALM

The last step is to properly nurture their lips with a quality lip balm. Shaheen continues to use the trusted Aquaphor Baby Healing Ointment while Alia prefers the Rhode Peptide Lip treatment. The earth rhythm peptide lip masque is a very cost-effective option for Rhode Peptide lip repair. Dr. Belmeur and Cosrx pimple patches are other excellent solutions.
