Veteran Bollywood actress Zeenat Aman attracted notice when she walked for fashion designer Shahin Mannan during Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai. After years, the 71-year-old made a triumphant return to the ramp and mesmerised the crowd with her grace and charisma. Photos and videos from the event went viral. The actress recently shared a picture of hers on the social media account.

Taking to Instagram, Zeenat shared a picture of herself from the behind the scenes of the photoshoot. In the picture, she donned a blazer with an abstract red and black design, black slacks, and black shoes. With a pair of sunglasses, she completed the ensemble and looked every bit the supermodel she has always been. Sharing the picture, she wrote, “Captured behind the scenes, before this morning’s ramp walk. My pantsuit was comfortable and just a little reckless.
I’d forgotten what a whirlwind it is to be backstage! The bustle of a fashion show approaching showtime is unique, and I can’t deny that there was a butterfly or two fluttering in my stomach.
A warm thank you to all the technicians, workers, and security personnel who make such events run smoothly for our talented designers and models.
It’s been a minute since I walked the ramp, and I’m touched by the love I am receiving for being Shahin’s showstopper at fashion week.”
Fans and industry friends were quick to express their love for the actress in the comments section. Bollywood actress Sayani Gupta commented, “Icon. What a please it was today ma’am to share the stage, the ramp, the space with you! An absolute honour! Thank you for paving the way, being the coolest cat and being the warmest and most dignified! Love you so much!” Archana Puran Singh wrote, “Looking as smashing as you did in the Taj Mahal Tea ad Zeenat.” Several celebrities including Shweta Bachchan , Dia Mirza and many others showered their love in the comments.
The official Instagram account of the Fashion Week had shared a video of Zeenat’s beautiful walk.
Talking about the show, Zeenat told News18, “I started my career as a model, and over the years have walked on many runways. It’s exciting to be doing so again, while representing older women. Some would say I’ve come full circle, and that fits in beautifully with Shahin’s concept. I enjoy Shahin’s quirky designs, and had faith that she would create a striking look for me.”
Zeenat Aman is an Indian actress and a former model. The Evil Within (1970), starring Dev Anand, marked the former beauty queen’s acting debut. She has acted in films like Yaadon Ki Baarat, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Qurbani, Dharam Veer, Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Insaaf Ka Tarazu among others.
