This past weekend, it was a grand affair with celebrities from across the world under one roof for the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre’s grand launch. The two-day event saw many popular faces including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Kajol, Spider-Man co-stars Tom Holland and Zendaya, Penelope Cruz, Karlie Kloss, Kat Graham, Gigi Hadid among others who made it to the two-day event.

On NMACC’s gala day, which was held on April 1, celebrities showed their stunning looks on the red carpet to showcase India in fashion moment. Karisma Kapoor, who wore a Rahul Mishra ensemble, took to her official Instagram account to share a slew of photos featuring Zendaya, Tom Holland and Nita Ambani. She wrote, “All heart to Nita Ji, Mukesh Ji, Isha & the Ambani Family. @nnmac.india is an alchemy of art and culture which draws from centuries of tradition. Proudly bringing Indian culture & heritage to a global platform. The last 2 days have been nothing but immersing myself in culture, fashion, beauty and so much more! Truly a grand edition to Mumbai City.”
As per the website, “‘India in Fashion’ explores the layered impact that traditional Indian dress, textiles and craft have had on the international fashion sensibility since the 18th century. Whether it is transparent muslins, whimsical chintzes conceived on the Coromandel Coast, the varied draperies of the sari and dhoti, or the botehs of Kashmir’s shawls, the treasury of India’s sartorial and textile traditions have provided inspiration to royal courts, European haute couture, contemporary design visionaries, and even global fast fashion. The first exhibition of its kind in India, the show will also trace the birth and development of the contemporary Indian fashion community.”
On the other hand, Karisma Kapoor will next star in Brown, which will be a limited ZEE5 series.
