Ulajh had an extremely dismal first day at the box office. The film is struggling to reach the ₹1 crore net mark for the day, according to estimates. It received limited screenings initially, and on top of that, the occupancy is extremely low for such a film. The opening suggests the film is going nowhere. Even a miraculous growth on Saturday may not be enough. The only consolation is that the film is providing some competition to another new release, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, which is also performing horrifically today.
