1. ‘Dhadak 2’ (November 22, Theatres)
Dhadak 2, helmed by Shazia Iqbal, is a sequel to the 2018 movie Dhadak—the movie that marked the debuts of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar. Dhadak 2 is also the remake of the 2018 Tamil movie Pariyerum Perumal. It stars Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi in the leads. It also features Saurabh Sachdeva and Deeksha Joshi in the supporting cast.
2. ‘The Buckingham Murders’ (November 8, Netflix)
Kareena Kapoor Khan-led murdery mysteryThe Buckingham Murderswill finally arrive on OTT in November. It follows Sergeant Jasmeet ‘Jass’ Bhamra, played by Kareena, a grieving cop who is mourning the loss of her child. She gets tasked with the investigation of a missing boy roughly as old as her son.
In an interview with Variety, Kareena had said that her cop character is inspired by Kate Winslet’s role in Mare of Easttown—”I love Mare of Easttown, and when Hansal came to me, I said this is something that I’ve really been dying to do. So we’ve moulded a little bit on those lines, she plays a detective cop in that,” she said.
3. ‘Devara: Part 1’ (November 8, Netflix)
Featuring N. T. Rama Rao Jr in a double role, along with Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Srikanth and Shine Tom Chacko, Devara marks the debuts of Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor in Telugu cinema.
Its plot follows Devara (Rao), chieftain of a coastal village who is in a neck to neck feud with his rival Bhaira (Khan) over smuggling. The rivalry and conflict that starts at a personal level soon spirals out of control and disrupts the entire region.
4. ‘I Want To Talk’ (November 29, Theatres)
Starring Abhiskeh Bachchan in a never-seen-before avatar, I Want To Talk is a slice-of-life drama. It follows Arjun, a man struggling with a life-altering health issue and complex personal battles in life.
Renowned for his evocative storytelling, the movie is directed by Shoojit Sircar. Making a bold departure from his previous roles, Bachchan will be seen in a new, compelling role.
5. ‘Dune: Prophecy’ (November 18, Jio Cinema)
Dune: Prophecy will star Tabu in its cast alongside Emily Watson and Shirley Henderson. The science fiction series serves as a prequel to the 2021 film Dune, which was adapted from the 1965 eponymous novel by Frank Herbert.
The series takes place 10,000 years before the events of the film. It focuses on the origins of the Bene Gesserit, a powerful and select sisterhood who undergo intense physical training and mental conditioning to obtain superhuman abilities.
6. ‘Metro… In Dino’ (November 29, Theatres)
Metro… In Dino, a romantic drama is an anthology of four heartwarming storiesof modern couples. All the four stories are intertwined with each other in some way or the other. It stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh in key roles.
7. ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ (November 12, Disney+ Hotstar)
The popular superhero movie, featuring Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin and other stars, is all set to arrive on Disney+ Hotstar. Reynolds and Jackman portray the parts of Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively.
Deadpool gets recruited by the Time Variance Authority to protect the multiverse. He unites with Wolverine to finish the mission and rescue his world from the existential threat.
8. ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ (November 1, Theatres)
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 marks the third instalment in the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise. After two blockbuster parts, the third movie failed to make a mark. It received average reviews.
Kartik Aaryan reprised his role as Rooh Baba in the third instalment. In this movie, Rooh Baba reaches a spooky estate to confront a pair of vindictive ghosts, both claiming to be Manjulika.
9. ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ (November 18, Prime Video)
Joker: Folie à Deux is a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster movie, Joker. It is a jukebox musical psychological thriller in which Joaquin Phoenix reprised his role as Joker and Lady Gaga played his love interest, Harleen ‘Lee’ Quinzel.
Arthur Fleck, played by Phoenix, is in custody at Arkham State Hospital, awaiting the trials for the crimes he committed two years ago. At a music therapy session, Arthur bumps into Harleen ‘Lee’ Quinzel and they fall in love.
10. ‘Vettaiyan’ (November 7, Prime Video)
The Tamil action movie, starring Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Abhirami and Ramesh Thilak, will be released on OTT this month.
Directed by T. J. Gnanavel, the movie follows an ex-police officer(Rajinikanth) who accidentally kills an innocent person during an encounter killing during the rape and murder investigation of a teacher.
11. ‘The Sabarmati Report’ (November 15, Theatres)
Starring Vikrant Massey, Raashii Khanna and Riddhi Dogra, The Sabarmati Report is directed by Ranjan Chandel, later replaced by Dheeraj Sarna. It is based on the real-life incidentof Godhra train burning on February 27, 2002, involving Sabarmati Express train.
The incident shook the political landscape of the country. The movie has been delayed due to several reasons.
12. ‘It Ends With Us’ (November 9, Netflix)
It Ends With Us features Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni in the lead role. The romantic drama, exploring themes like domestic violence and how it can go unnoticed in a marriage, comes with an important social message.
Lively plays Lily Bloom, who is planning to open a flower shop in Boston. She meets Ryle, a neurosurgeon with temper issues, on the roof of his apartment building. The two fall in love and get married. Their happy marriage becomes short-lived as Lily starts noticing the gravity of Ryle’s anger.
Lily reunites with her high school ex-boyfriend in Boston that only ends up making Ryle more furious. During the course of their relationship, Lily starts noticing how violent Ryle’s uncontrollable bouts of rage are and decides to make an important decision.
13. ‘Khwaabon Ka Jhamela’ (November 8, JioCinema)
Sayani Gupta and Prateik Babbar, who were seen opposite each other in Four More Shots Please!have reunited for this romantic comedy to play the leads. It follows Zubin, who falls in love with Shehnaaz and decides to propose to her. But he is in for an unpleasant surprise when Shehnaaz rejects his proposal. Zubin goes to the UK, where he meets Ruby, an intimacy coordinator.
14. ‘Singham Again’ (November 1, Theatres)
Singham Again released on Diwali. Rohit Shetty’s fifth cop drama in the Singham franchise turned out to be a disappointing flick, according to the audience. The multi-starrer action movie stars Ajay Devgn in the titular role, alongside Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor and Jackie Shroff.
Singham Again draws parallels to the epic Ramayana. Bajirao Singham and his trusted allies confront a notorious antagonist to rescue Singham’s wife.
15. ‘Naam’ (November 22, Theatres)
Ajay Devgn and Aneez Bazmee’s long-delayed film Naam will finally be released in November. According to a press release issued by the makers, the action-drama entertainer was filmed in 2014 but got delayed due to the demise of one of the producers. The film was stuck in limbo for almost a decade, unable to find distributors.
