Aasman Bharadwaj proves his mettle by juggling an overstuffed plot and a bunch of talented actors. ‘Kuttey’ isn’t exactly a deep, dark satire made to perfection, yet it is a wildly entertaining mishmash of guns, goons and gaalis.

This tale is dark, and it has so much of everything. It in fact, manages to pack in the right punches in a tale of drama, comedy, action and lawlessness. We watched the film at a special screening and loved it.

The movie attempts a new genre and that works in the favour of a young director like Aasmaan Bhardwaj. Before rejecting Kuttey as a rip-off of Guy Ritchie-style movies, one must appreciate the fresh attempt at storytelling in Bollywood. This genre surely has potential.
