Pathaan has created history at the box office as the film has smashed all existing box office records. The film ran to packed houses on day one and thus easily go past the half-century mark in India. And this is on a normal working day.

Pathaan collected a huge 55 crore nett approx from all languages on day 1 in India. Data are still pouring in and numbers could vary a little. Thus, the film has smashed the KGF 2 (Hindi) record of 53.95 crore nett and has created a new record. The film has smashed the WAR opening day record of 53.35 cr NBOC to emerge as the biggest Bollywood opener of all time.

Pathaan is eyeing to go past the 100 crore NBOC mark in two days flat. This looks easy as the film is certain to hit another half-century on day 2 as it is a national holiday in India. This is simply unprecedented!

Pathaan registered 55-60% occupancy for day 1 in a huge 5500-5600 screens. This is insane stuff on a working day. Day 2 being a national holiday, the occupancy level might increase further. A 55-60 crore NBOC for the second day is a real possibility now. It could go higher also.

Pathaan has received positive feedback from both critics and audiences. Critics hardly matter but it is the theatre-going audiences that matter. And since it is on the positive side there is a box office tsunami awaiting in the coming days time. A 200 crore nett business in the extended first weekend is more or less confirmed now unless there is a big drop on Friday (day 3).
