Ever since the makers dropped the teaser of Pathaan, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer was constantly in the headlines. The film took a record-breaking opening and continues to garner love from the audience. Amid this, the team of Pathaan attended a press conference organised by Yash Raj Films for the film’s success. The trio, along with director Siddharth Anand, shared their experience of working on Pathaan. Interestingly, John was asked to elaborate on his experience of shooting fight sequences with Shah Rukh.

In his response, John lauded SRK’s confidence while adding that he is the number one action hero. Meanwhile, Deepika also spoke about Shah Rukh’s presence of mind and how action is “one of his most underrated” qualities of him.
In John’s words, “I am actually surprised why he is not an action star so far. He is so good in action, and so flexible. I was scared to hit him during the sequence. I even told him that you are a national treasure of the country, and I can’t hit you. But he asked me to hit him with such confidence. All and all, he was fantastic in action and very confident.”
Further, Deepika adds, “You know this is actually the most, ‘one of the most’, underrated qualities about him,” while John also agrees by saying, “Correct”. Deepika went on to explain, “Action is like a dance. It’s all about choreography, precision and timing. And, you have to have the presence of mind when you do action. And he does it so well. His presence of mind for his surroundings; I think this is something all of us as actors have learned from him.”
Speaking of Pathaan, the Siddharth Anand directorial was released on January 25. It is the third entry in YRF’s spy universe following the Salman Khan-led Tiger series and Hrithik Roshan-starrer War.
