Kapil Sharma, who started his career as a comedian, is now not only a successful host but also an actor. His comedy show The Kapil Sharma Show that has been airing on Sony Entertainment Television has featured some of the biggest celebrities from the industry. The recent superstar to have attended the show is Akshay Kumar for Selfiee promotions. While the actor has attended the show many times in the past, this time around, he was quite thrilled to bond with the comedian’s mother Janak Rani and even made her spill some beans about Kapil’s childhood days.

Akshay Kumar prodded Kapil’s mother to talk about the childhood days of the comedian. While the conversed in Punjabi, he asked her, “When he was a kid and when people visited your home, would you ask him to make them laugh and entertain them? What would he do”. To this, Kapil’s mother maintained that Kapil Sharma was not a mischievous boy. A surprised Akshay retorted. “If he is not mischievous, then no one in the world is”. While his comment left everyone in splits, his mother recalled an incident when Kapil was a child. She revealed that Kapil used to leave ‘pudiya’ aka packet outside his neighbors’ houses in the night, after everyone is asleep. In the morning, they would wonder who did this and they would be fearful of it because they would believe it was ‘black magic’.
In the promo, Kapil Sharma also asked his mother about the first film she saw with his father. She reminisced about how she watched the film Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki in 1978. She revealed about how at that time, she was quite nervous to watch it at night. She went on to state, “I thought he was very good looking but I wasn’t that good looking. When he took me out to watch the movie at night, I was afraid that he would push me in the dark and kill me,” she joked. Her conversation with Akshay Kumar definitely left everyone in splits.
