Taking to her IG handle on February 21, 2023, Alia Bhatt dropped two stunning pictures of herself, clicked right before she graced the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards where she won the award for Best Actress for her performance in the film, Gangubai Kathiawadi. Alia looked dreamy in a pristine white-hued silk saree teamed with a matching embroidered princess-cut blouse for the event. Open tresses and minimal makeup amped her look. The actress posed with a battery-operated hand fan and penned a quirky caption that can be read as:
“Meet my friend – my fan.”

While Alia seemed utterly star-struck on meeting with Rekha, the latter lightened the moment by giving her a sweet peck on her cheeks. Well, the happiness of winning doubled for the Kapoors as it was not just Alia who won an award, but her hubby, Ranbir Kapoor, too, won the Best Actor award for his film, Brahmastra: Part One. However, due to his busy schedule, Ranbir missed the event, leading to his wifey, Alia, receiving the award on his behalf. In one video shared by the fan pages of the actors, we can spot the pride on Alia’s face as her hubby’s name was announced.
