AR Murugadoss and Akshay Kumar to join hands for former’s “dream project”; deets inside : Bollywood News

AR Murugadoss, the renowned director of Indian cinema, is known for his unique and innovative filming techniques. His films are not only visually appealing but also contain a distinct style that sets them apart from others. While currently he is busy with the promotions of his upcoming film, August 16 1947, he recently opened up about his dream project, which will feature animals as the leads and actor Akshay Kumar will be seen playing a 20-minute-long cameo.

It all happened during his recent conversation with Galatta Plus. The portal asked the director to address a rumour, according to which, Murugadoss was angry with film stars since no one came to his help during the hard times, and that’s why he decided to make a film featuring only animals. While dismissing the rumour, he did confirm that a film with animals and a bunch of kids as the lead actors is underway.

The media outlet quoted him saying, “Over the years, I kept on wondering how to do this film, and finally, I connected with a company called Double Negative, which has worked in Avengers. They have received multiple Oscar awards for special effects. So, I narrated the story to them and they were super happy. We were doing pre-production for the film for the past two years over Zoom calls (during the pandemic).”

Speaking of Akshay Kumar’s role in the forthcoming film, Murugadoss asserted, “There is a hero role in the film, which has a runtime of about 20 mins. I narrated the story to Akshay Kumar sir and he said he will do it without a fee. He wanted a profit-share sort of deal instead. Now, it is still in pre-production. I will definitely do it one day. That’s my dream project.”
