Babil Khan, son of Irrfan Khan shared a moving message for his late father on his social media account. He is currently concentrating on his acting profession and fulfilling Irrfan’s ambition.
Babil Khan pens a heartfelt note for late actor-father Irrfan Khan
On Sunday, Babil Khan took to his Instagram and posted nostalgic images of his father and their shared memories. In the string of pictures, the father-son duo can be seen flashing their bright smiles. Sharing the pictures, he captioned, “He was the king and I was his jester. I wish he could have seen that I’ve grown into his prince. I wish he could see what he wished to see, but I was too late.”
Soon after he shared the post, fans consoled him in the comments section. Reacting to the post, a user commented, “He sees you, talks to you and also responds to you. It is just he is at a much higher pedestal, from there we can just feel it,” another user wrote, “You have a part of him in you. If you’re watching yourself, he is already watching you.” A comment also read, “He has given u the chance to be the king and for sure he is proud of you.”
Late Indian actor Irrfan Khan made his debut with the Oscar-nominated Hindi film Salaam Bombay! and went on to star in some of the most critically praised films in India like The Lunchbox and Hindi Medium. At the age of 53, Irrfan passed away in a hospital in Mumbai. The actor, who has been battling cancer since 2018, was hospitalised for a colon infection.
On the work front, Babil Khan made his debut in Anvita Dutt’s Qala, which also starred Triptii Dimri. He will next be seen in the web series, The Railway Men based on the Bhopal Gas Tragedy. He is also teaming up with Shoojit Sircar and producer Ronnie Lahiri for their next project.
