Irrfan Khan, one of the gems of Indian cinema was a legend, who left behind a legacy of the finest cinemas to his credit. As January 7, 2023, marks Irrfan Khan’s birth anniversary, his son, Babil posts some unseen throwback pictures of the actor along with an emotional note, remembering him.
Irrfan Khan’s unseen pictures
A few moments back, Babil took to his IG handle and posted some never seen pictures of his baba, Irrfan Khan from his album. The pictures featured Irrfan as a complete family man as he was spending time with Babil. From taking pictures of Babil on a beach to sleeping on the floor with him, Irrfan’s never seen avatar made his fans emotional.

Amid the array of pictures, the one which caught our attention the most was the one where Irrfan held Babil in his arms when he was a few days old. Along with the priceless memories, Babil penned an emotional note which can be read as:
“Questions keep me up at night. Those that I never asked then, those that I can never ask now. My inquiries are left for me to quench on my own, that’s okay, I will figure it out. I miss your laughter though, I don’t think there is an answer for that. Remembering a day when you arrived here.”
Irrfan Khan’s professional life
Born as Sahabzade Irrfan Ali Khan into a family of Pathans with Rajasthani ancestry, Irrfan was one of the versatile Indian actors. His debut performance in Mira Nair’s Salaam Bombay was not just appreciated by the critics but also opened the gates of opportunities for him. Be it ‘Ashok Ganguly’ in The Namesake, ‘Billu’ in Billu Barbar, ‘Wasiullah Khan’ in 7 Khoon Maaf, ‘Saajan Fernandes’ in The Lunchbox, ‘Roohdaar’ in Haider, ‘Rana Chaudhary’ in Piku, ‘Nirmal Kumar’ in Madari, or ‘Champak Bansal’ in Angrezi Medium, Irrfan had put life into all of his characters.

Irrfan Khan’s death
In March 2018, Irrfan was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour, and a few days later, he left for London for his treatment. He returned in February 2019 to shoot the film, Angrezi Medium, and had flown back to London for another surgery. He returned to India in September 2019 hail and hearty, but on April 28, 2020, the actor was admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital due to a colon infection and was kept in ICU. On April 29, 2020, the actor breathed his last and bid adieu to his loved ones.
