Bholaa has put up a decent first day at the Indian box office. The film although started slowly in the morning shows, gained some momentum as the day progresses. Film registered the best occupancy in the evening and night time.

Bholaa collected 11 cr nett approx on Day 1. Numbers are decent and could have been better considering it was a partial holiday and released in excess of 3500 screens across India. Ideally, the film should have collected 12-14 cr nett approx and it means it has fallen short of a par score by 2-3 crores approx.

Nevertheless, Bhola has opened decent and if it shows solid trending through the extended opening weekend, still can put up a respectable total. Ideally, considering the film’s face value and budget, it needs to do a business of 55-60 cr nett approx for the weekend. It means the film will need a solid Friday now and then growth on Saturday and Sunday.

Coming to Friday (Day 2), collections need to touch double digits at least. Any significant drop will not be a good sign. In an ideal scenario, Friday numbers should match Thursday. For that to happen word of mouth needs to kick in which is on the somewhat mixed to the positive side.
