South Korean label giant YG Entertainment, which managed pop group BLACKPINK, has shut down baseless drug abuse allegations against artist Rosé. The agency vowed to pursue legal Action against the acts that defame the artist.

According to the Korean tabloid Soompi, earlier this week, Rosé was featured in a photo uploaded by the chief creative officer of Burberry from a party with his acquaintances. YG Entertainment firmly denied rumors sparked by the photo that suggested drugs were present in the background.

The label announced strong legal action against rumors regarding Rosé. On April 13, the agency released the following statement that read, “This is YG Entertainment.”
The agency added, “We reveal that the rumors associated with BLACKPINK’s Rosé that are spreading on various online communities, social media, etc. are clear false information. We are taking legal action against acts that violate the human rights of and defame our agency artist.”
“We are currently monitoring those who created and spread the rumors, and will take strong legal action in the future without any leniency or settlement,” the agency concluded.
