South Korean pop stars BTS’ J-hope and Tomorrow X Together (TXT) rang in the new year with an enthralling performance at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. The rapper of BTS debuted his solo performance at Times Square in New York and was unstoppable as he performed even in the rain and managed to steal the show. J-Hope swayed the audience performing “= (Equal Sign)”, “Chicken Noodle Soup”, and “Butter (Holiday Remix).”

This marks the rapper’s third time performing for the Rockin’ Eve but his first performing without other BTS members. After his performance, J-Hope thanked his fans for all the support and said, “I am grateful to be able to share such a special moment with you. It is a stage with good memories with BTS, and this moment alone is also meaningful.”

Meanwhile, TXT members Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and HueningKai also lit he stage on fire performing on songs like “0x1=lovesong (i know i love you),” “Good Boy Gone Bad, among others.

On December 31, ABC welcomed 2023 with a string of live performances and more, hosted by Ryan Seacrest and Liza Koshy live from New York City’s Times Square.

As noted by NME report, alongside the K-pop icons there were pre-recorded performances from Disneyland from acts including Aly & AJ, Bailey Zimmerman and Shaggy, with Duran Duran also performing live from NYC.
