Tanya Abrol’s wedding day look had an old world charm. She looked gorgeous in a unique rani pink and green-toned lehenga. However, the interesting part about Tanya’s wedding day outfit was that it was made from her mother, Sarita Abrol’s wedding saree, and it was 8 years ago. In an exclusive conversation with BollywoodShaadis, Tanya revealed that she always knew that she wanted to wear her mother’s wedding day saree at her own wedding. The gorgeous bride customised it into a lehenga. The interesting part about her look was that it was made from a boutique in her hometown Abhhor, Punjab.

Tanya Abrol got her wedding day lehenga at the last moment

Tanya also shared an interesting part about her lehenga. She revealed she got her lehenga at the last moment before she had to leave for Chandigarh. She was quoted as saying:

“Sanam my designer did a great job on my lehnga .. although I may have screamed at him because he literally gave it to me a day before I was leaving for chandigarh,  but I loved the final product.  I wanted to keep it elegant and nothing too heavy, yet something that catches eye. Since it was already decided that I am wearing mom s saree the colour combinations were decided accordingly.”

Tanya Abrol got a mini heart attack after seeing her lehenga

Tanya kept her wedding day look traditional by donning a maroon-toned chooda. Earlier, Punjabi brides used to pick chooda in maroon tones. Her look was accentuated with a huge neckpiece, matching earrings, a maang teeka, a nath and kaleeras. The gorgeousness gave brides-to-be wedding goals with her striking look in her mom’s revamped saree.

However, Tanya got a mini heart attack when she first saw her wedding day lehenga. Yes, the bride revealed that when she got the first look of her lehenga, it looked dull as the boutique lights were gone. And her mother advised her to buy a rented lehenga. However, when Tanya tried it for the first time, it looked perfect. She said:

“So when I tried the lehnga for the first time .. The electricity was out at boutique and the minimum lighting made it look rather simple. Me and mom both were like .. huh !! Okay. ?Then we went to see to collect some items from a family friend s shop . He rents out lehnga too. We saw other girls trying some of those and my mom s like may be I should consider changing it and it’s okay to wear a rented dress .. I just began to cry .. I brought the lehnga from boutique and when I tried it with all the lights on .. it looked gorgeous.. I had all my faith .. this mother of mine brought a little confusion I cried a little more and told mom that you gave me a heart attack. And I wouldn’t wear anything else.”
