Cirkus had a poor run at the box office in the opening weekend. The film accumulated a lowly 20.75 crore nett approx in the first weekend. Box office performance is an absolute shocker so far. Worse is the trend so far.
Sunday did register some growth but that is of no use as the film needed a big jump. Even a big jump was not enough as the film opened lowly on Friday. But a significant growth would have given the film hope for the coming days. The film even failed to utilise the benefit of the Christmas period.
Cirkus added a lowly 8 crore nett approx on day 3 (Sunday). Cirkus may see a big drop on 1st Monday despite collections being already low. Already the film is rejected and there is no hope as such. Despite that, if Monday numbers stay close to Friday then it got a chance at least to touch or go past the 50 crore nett mark. If there is a fall then lifetime business will wrap up much below the half century mark.
