Cirkus has failed to take a decent start again on Sunday (3rd day) morning shows as early reports are coming in. The film has so much potential and was released in one of the most lucrative box office periods and it is still not able to pull the crowd to the theatres. Really sad and disappointing to say the least.
Cirkus opened to 20-25% occupancy in the morning shows of day 3. For the same, day 2 opening was around 15-20%. It means a growth of 25-30% is seen when only morning shows are taken into the consideration.
Cirkus collected a poor 13-13.25 crore nett approx in the first two days. The film is now eyeing around 20 crore nett for the opening weekend. Box office numbers are extremely poor as the film should have targeted at least 45-50 crore nett for the first weekend. And at this point, it looks like it will collect 40-45% of that total. Such is the underperformance of the film in the opening weekend.
