On the whole, Dhoom Dhaam is a very ordinary fare. It is good that it has been released directly on OTT as its fate in the cinemas would’ve been pitiable.

If you married ‘Iss Raat Ki Subah Nahin’ with a zillion iterations of the odd-couple and lovers-on-the-run and heist movies, you would get Dhoom Dhaam, a film which borrows from all these elements, while straining every nerve to be novel.

Dhoom Dhaam is harmless diversion with a few stray sparks, but it isn’t as much fun as it aspires to be. But if at the same time it isn’t all unmitigatedly vacuous, much of the credit should accrue to the lead actors. Full marks to them for gamely trying to spice up a desultory ride.

A single plot that isn’t one bit overstretched and that is the beauty of crisp content on the digital platform unlike Bollywood big budget films high on unnecessary dances, songs and fancy locations.
