Bollywood press conferences can throw up bizarre questions.  Everyone in the audi was left shell shocked after a veteran journalist asked a very bizarre personal question to actor Vicky Kaushal.  The occasion was the trailer launch of Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan’s upcoming film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke [2023].  It’s a film about a couple seeking divorce.

Keeping in with the film’s divorce theme, a senior scribe cheekily asked Kaushal that if were to divorce his wife Katrina Kaif, then which actress would he like to marry? Everyone was taken aback and it was followed by an all-round laughter.   A shaken Kaushal took a moment before coming up with a classy reply.

“Sir, what have you asked? I have to go home in the evening. You’re asking me such twisted questions. Come on, I’m just a kid. Let me grow up first.  How do you expect me to answer? Huh! This is such a dangerous question. Sir, our marriage will last for many lives.”

Kaif and Kaushal got married last year.  Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is set to be released in theatres on 2 June.  It’s a first theatrical release for both Kaushal and Sara since 2020.

“It’s our first theatrical release in a while.  I’m nervous. You have the fear of losing out on theatrical experience,” said Kaushal, who had a cameo role in Anurag Kashyap’s Almost Pyar with DJ Mohabbat [2023] that released in theatres early this year.

Sara chipped in saying, “That she didn’t realise it until she saw the poster of her film in and outside the theatre.”

Kaushal then highlighted the reason for taking up this film. “This is a family film. It reminds me of family. I want to experience this film with a family. We’ve shot this film in the backdrop of a family, our wonderful co-stars. We became one family. It just feels very good to be back in this media family too. I’m looking forward to media interactions. I’ve had enough of Zoom conversations,” said Kaushal.
