Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal launched the trailer of their upcoming film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke yesterday [15 May]. With a name like that, expect some ‘hatke’ different conversations. This is a story of couple who get married but soon wants a divorce.
We asked Kaushal whether he shot this film before or after his marriage?
“You asked a good question. I shot ten days before the wedding. I took off for my wedding. Four days later, I was back in Indore to shoot this film,” said Kaushal.
Sara Ali Khan took the moment to reveal a quirky disclosure.
“I think he is the fourth actor who got married whilst shooting a film with her,” said Khan.
Not wanting to deny her credit, Kaushal chipped in saying, “Anyone who wants to get married, should do a film with her”.
A smiling Khan added, “I said this yesterday too. All those male actors wanting to get married, or if females want to marry their boyfriends, they all should sign a film with me. I think there is something about my energy, which makes my co-actors want to run away and get married immediately.
Hmm, interesting. Did Ranveer Singh get married whilst shooting from Simmba [2018]? Sara worked with Varun Dhawan in Coolie No.1 [2020]. He got married soon. She shot for Gaslight [2023] last year. Vikrant Massey married his actor girlfriend Sheetal Thakur last year. So, Kaushal is indeed the fourth co-actor of Khan who got married after singing a film with her.
Here is the man shooting for a character that seeks divorce, few days before and after his wedding. Was it tough to keep aside the real-life bliss and get into this character seeking divorce?
“Before the wedding, we had shot many portions with the family. So, I think the bhasad (chaos] that you find in a wedding – I believe many here are married. Our desi weddings have parties but it comes with load of tension. I carried that tension into the film set. I strived to do that in the film.”
Zara Hatke Zara Bachke [2023] is set to be released in theatres on 2 June.
