Dunki performed pretty well on Friday (2nd Day) at the box office, accumulating approximately 20 crore net with a modest 30% decrease compared to Thursday. While such a decline is often cause for concern, it is noteworthy that the film faced formidable competition from Salaar, coupled with a significant reduction in screen and show counts. Therefore, considering these factors, it can be deemed a commendable hold. Nevertheless, the film’s success hinges on a robust growth on Saturday to capitalize on the extended holiday weekend.
Dunki excelled in metros, particularly in Delhi and Mumbai, along with a few other cities. Regrettably, the film’s performance in B and C centers has been average to poor. Unless there is a substantial surge on Saturday, the film will heavily depend on Metros and A-list city business going forward. Historically, metros and major cities experience significant growth on Saturdays, and we are optimistic that Dunki will follow suit.
The two-day total for Dunki now stands at approximately 49.2 crore net. The three-day holiday weekend commences from Saturday to Monday, and it is hoped that the film will enjoy prosperous business during this period, culminating in a fantastic extended weekend total.
