Ezra Miller starrer The Flash saw an enthusiastic audience at the annual convention screening in Las Vegas on Tuesday evening, nearly two months ahead of the film’s June 16 release! The film reportedly left the audience emotionally charged with cheers for Michael Keaton’s Batman.

As noted by The Hollywood Reporter, The Flash has been the talk of the convention, and earlier in the day, Warners made the film the closer of its presentation, with Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav (who has already watched the film thrice) saying, “It’s the best superhero movie I’ve ever seen.”

The film comes after a tumultuous 2022 marked by multiple arrests and controversies of Miller who issued a statement on August 15 apologizing for their behavior and acknowledging “complex mental health issues.”

DC Studios new co-head Peter Safran also heaped praise for the lead star Miller ahead of the screening, just like director Andy Muschietti did, who said, “I discovered they are an incredible comedian and also [handled] all the action required for a big spectacle like this. They wanted to do all the stunts, and I let them.”

In the new DC superhero film, Miller takes on dual roles playing multiple versions of Barry Allen, with Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck portraying their respective versions of Batman. Sashe Calle also joins as Supergirl along with Michael Shannon who reprises his Man of Steel role as General Zod.

Miller, Affleck, Keaton, Kiersey Clemmons, and Shannon were notably absent from CinemaCon. Muschietti and producing partner Barbara Muschietti introduced the film, highlighting it as a labor-intensive “four-year process.” Despite being unfinished, Barbara mentioned that the screened version was still “pretty awesome.” The film reportedly has no closing credits.

Ezra Miller starrer The Flash is due out June 16.
