Overall Word of Mouth (Critics) – Positive

1. India Today

Rating Score -> 3.5/5

With 8 episodes of 55-60 minutes each, Farzi is an intriguing watch, but with too much detailing, it tends to get exhausting in parts. Although the show manages to keep its viewers hooked till the end, the makers could have easily avoided getting into the details of printing a counterfeit currency note.

2. News 18

Rating Score -> 3.5/5

While Farzi might not be as great as The Family Man, it serves as an entertaining binge-worthy series to watch over the weekend. Don’t burden it with The Family Man’s baggage and you’ll enjoy it.

3. Times of India

Rating Score -> 3.5/5

There are too many F and MC, BC words, which is like an all too familiar calling card for such shows on OTT, but thankfully here only a few of them feel out of place. The dialogues on the whole are very relevant and well-suited to each character. Overall, ‘Farzi’ is a refreshing and intensely gripping scamster saga whose pros far outweigh its cons.

4. Indian Express

Rating Score -> n/a

Inimitable Vijay Sethupathi livens up show that is in service to its star Shahid Kapoor, not its plot. Shahid Kapoor, except for the odd scene when he allows himself to be vulnerable, doesn’t give us anything novel. This is just another variant of a long line of Shahid Kapoor roles that’s cementing his starry persona.

5. Rediff

Rating Score -> 3/5

While the other actors immerse themselves into their parts, Shahid Kapoor’s performance is too look-at-me-I-am-a-star, till the last episode, when he pulls his act together and captures the nuances needed.

6. NDTV

Rating Score -> 3.5/5

Farzi is a thriller packed with everything that the genre demands and then some. It is a tangled tale of transgressions that is never ever in danger of veering off course. Binge-worthy all the way.
