Update (11 am): “Fighter” got off to a sluggish start in Thursday morning shows, opening with a 10-15% occupancy rate. The initial performance is somewhat surprising given the film’s face value. However, considering it’s a Thursday release and a normal working day, we anticipate a significant increase in occupancy during the latter half of the day, hopefully recovering some ground.
The slow start implies that the film may struggle to achieve a substantial first-day total. Ideally, the film needed an opening of 30-35 crore NBOC (at least), but that seems like a distant possibility now. The revised goal is now set at 20-25 crore net opening, with hopes of significant progress in the second half of the day.
