Krushna Abhishek is a household having excelled in comedy [non-fiction] shows on television and the odd comic acts in films like Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiyaa [2001], Bol Bachchan [2012]. He left the popular The Kapil Sharma Show to try new things. Come June, Krushna will be seen in an altogether different avatar in filmmaker Ashok Tyagi’s psychological suspense thriller Fire of Love RED [2023].

The makers unveiled the poster and gave a sneak peak into the teaser on 5 April. The frenzied atmosphere made it difficult to concentrate on the teaser, but we recollect seeing Abhishek wield the knife relentlessly into a human body. Oh, we’ve never seen that kind of intensity to Krushna before.

“Every actor aspires to do different roles, give different performance. I’m lucky enough to get a chance to do such kind of a film, a serious role which has many shades. My character Rajveer is a writer. His wife betrays him. How he reacts in the aftermath of it, how he tackles the various situation, the film is largely about that. “Krushna said at the press conference.

Writer-director Ashok Tyagi praised his lead actor saying, “This is a role which is totally contradictory to your [comedian’s] image. You have played it with total conviction.”

Actor Payal Ghosh plays Krushna’s wife Poonam, who appears to be quite a bold character. In fact, the makers are calling it the boldest film ever. The film’s cast also comprises of actors like Bharat Dabholkar, Kamlesh Sawant, Kanchan Bhor, and co-producer Shantanu Bhamare. Noted emcee and unheralded actor Simran Ahuja also has a guest appearance.

Fire of Love RED is produced by Avanti Prajakta Arts – a venture between Rajeev Chaudhari’s Avanti Films and Jagannath Waghmare and Rekha Surendra Jagtap’s Prajakta Arts.
