Bollywood flop films of 2023

Bollywood
flop
films
of
2023:

Bollywood
is
the
biggest
film
industry
in
the
world
and
churns
out
innumerable
movies
every
year.
While
fans
wait
to
watch
their
favourite
stars
on
the
screen,
the
industry
seems
to
have
been
struck
by
bad
luck.

Even
after
the
theatres
opened
after
the
pandemic,
Bollywood
films
were
unable
to
pull
people
back
to
the
theatres
except
for
Pathaan
and
Tu
Jhoothi
Main
Makkaar.
Many
films
in
the
first
quarter
of
the
year
have
tanked
miserably
at
the
box
office.

The
industry
is
still
going
through
a
rough
patch,
struggling
to
find
good
scripts.
And
now
all
eyes
are
on
Salman
Khan’s
Kisi
Ka
Bhai
Kisi
Ki
Jaan,
which
is
releasing
on
Eid,
April
21.

But
before
we
witness
what
KKBKKJ
does
at
the
box
office,
let’s
look
at
5
movies
that
miserably
failed
to
perform
at
the
box
office.

family-comedy
film
Shehzada
was
made
on
a
budget
of
Rs
60
crore.
But
the
film
failed
badly
at
the
box
office
and
couldn’t
even
recover
half
of
its
budget.
It
only
made
47
crore.
The
film
was
a
remake
of
Allu
Arjun’s
Alla
Vaikunthapurramuloo,
which
was
a
superhit
movie.

Selfiee

Akshay
Kumar
has
been
delivering
only
flops
for
the
past
few
years,
and
this
year
too,
he
added
one
to
that
list.
Selfiee
which
was
again
a
remake
of
the
2019
Malayalam
movie
Driving
Licence,
and
made
on
a
budget
of
110
crores,
could
only
earn
23
crores
at
the
box
office.
Selfiee
is
said
to
be
Akshay
Kumar’s
worst-performing
film
ever.
The
film
also
starred
Emraan
Hashmi.

flop
at
the
box
office.
Made
on
a
budget
of
Rs
50
crore,
Bheed
only
collected
3.3
crore.
The
film
has
impressed
the
critics,
but
given
its
subject,
the
dark
times
of
Covid,
it
could
not
draw
the
audience
to
the
theatres.

Gumraah
received
bad

The
film
had
no
major
buzz
around
its
release
and
could
not
create
any
expectations
among
the
audience.
The
film
was
made
on
a
budget
of
50
crore,
but
Gumraah
reportedly
made
only
2
crore.

Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway

Rani
Mukerji’s
legal
drama
Mrs
Chatterjee
Vs

created
a
lot
of
buzz
before
its
release.
The
trailer
for
the
movie
was
well
received
by
the
audience.
However,
the
movie
could
not
perform
well
in
theatres.
Made
on
a
budget
of
34
crore,
it
earned
30
crore.
The
numbers
aren’t
that
huge,
but
it
was
declared
a
flop
at
the
box
office.
