Four artists from a well-established K-Pop group, Brave Girls (Min Young, You Joung, Eun Ji, Yu Na) reunite and sign with Warner Music Korea. Debuted in 2011, Brave Girls has been one of the most active female groups in the K-Pop scene with hit tracks like ‘Deepened’, ‘HIGH HEELS’, and ‘YOO-HOO’. In 2017, their biggest single ‘Rollin’’ became a viral sensation, charting number 1 in multiple charts in Korea, becoming one of the biggest summer hits in the history of K-Pop. Along with ‘Rollin’, their other singles ‘We Ride’ and ‘Chi Mat Ba Ram’ also charted in Korea.
K-pop group Brave Girls sign with Warner Music Korea; unlikely to use the same group name
Warner Music Korea says “The four artists have decided to stay together to continue their journey as a group. We are very excited to support the next phase of their career.” Regarding the official name of the group, the label says “We are having open discussions”
Being called “Summer Queens” and “Icons of Hope”, the group also appeared in various commercials, brands, and TV shows including a K-Pop competition show, ‘Queendom 2’ from Mnet.
In February 2023, the four artists terminated their contract with their previous label, Brave Entertainment, creating speculation on a potential disbanding of the group, until the new signing with Warner Music Korea today.
Min Young, You Joung, Eun Ji, and Yu Na’s new label Warner Music Korea has been having a strong imprint in Korea over the years, successfully breaking international artists like Dua Lipa, Christopher, Anne-Marie, and more. Also, the label has been active in Korean music projects, working closely with artists in multiple genres such as GOT7, FIFTY FIFTY, AB6IX, SHAUN, BLOO, oceanfromtheblue, and more. In addition, Warner Music Korea has been a hub for global collaborations, lately releasing projects such as Anne-Marie and MINNIE ((G)I-DLE)’s ‘Expectations’ and CHUNGHA and Christopher’s ‘When I Get Old’.
