When it comes to love, filmmaker Karan Johar has not been too successful, given the number of heartbreaks he has endured. However, ever since he welcomed his twins, Roohi and Yash Johar, he did not leave any opportunity to express his love for them. As February 14, Valentine’s Day is all about love, how can KJo miss this opportunity to pen another appreciation post for his family including his twins and mother Hiroo Johar?
Karan Johar celebrates “paternal love” on Valentine’s Day 2023; calls it “unconditional and exceptionally rewarding”
For the unversed, on Tuesday, Karan took to his verified social media handle and shared a photo dump featuring him with his mother and kids. The photos seemed to be clicked on Roohi and Yash’s 6th birthday bash. The Johar family can be seen sporting all-black outfits. In the photos, Karan can be seen showering love kisses and hugs on his mother and kids.
Instagramming his post, the 50-year-old filmmaker wrote, “Valentine’s Day for me for many years has been a day I either partied with other singles or then lamented the lack of a relationship or then celebrated my independence and solo status … it’s always been a blend of so many feelings and emotions! But when Roohi and Yash were born I realised my dependency and search for love ended with their arrival into our universe!”
He further added, “I celebrate them along with my mother every day but today is the day to say to all of us parents that we have forever valentines in our children! A paternal love story is the most satisfying, unconditional and exceptionally rewarding! So raise a toast and if no one sends you flowers today send yourself an emoji!” Reacting to the post, many of his friends from the industry flooded the comments section with red-heart emoticons, including Neetu Kapoor, Tahira Kashyap, and Zoya Akhtar, among others.
Coming to the professional front, Karan is all set for his next directorial project, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. The film is slated to release on July 28 this year.
