You may remember that old man from actor Yash’s super hit movie KGF. In the movie, the old man played an important role to open Rocky’s eyes at a crucial moment in his life. The actor who played the role of the blind old man, Krishna G Rao has sadly passed away on Wednesday in a Bengaluru hospital. KGF star Raveena Tandon and production banner Homable Films took to their respective social media handles and mourned over his demise.

In a tweet, the production banner wrote, “Condolences from Hombale film team on the passing away of Krishna G Rao, fondly known as Tata by KGF fans. Om Shanti,” in Telugu. For the unversed, the Yash starrer was produced under the banner of Homable Films.

Raveena Tandon, who played a significant character in the second instalment of the franchise, also re-shared the tweet and added, “Condolences to his family and the entire family of #kgf.”

Post the release of KGF Chapter One, which was released in 2018, Krishna Ji Rao acted in nearly 30 films. In a media interaction, he had said that Prashant Neel called him for an audition one day. He was very impressed with his work and immediately offered him KGF.

The veteran actor was, reportedly, ill and his family members admitted him to Vinayaka Hospital near Sita Circle, Bangalore, earlier this month. Rao was being treated in the intensive care unit of the hospital due to a lung infection.
