Just yesterday we saw the release of the much talked about Salman Khan starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Farhad Samji directs the film, which has been in the news since its announcement as Bhaijaan later changed to Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Starring Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, Ram Charan, Palak Tiwari and Venkatesh the film has been making headlines in the run up to its release. Hitting screens on the auspicious occasion of Eid, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan as expected has opened on a strong note.
In this box office report, we look at the opening day collections of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan while comparing the same to Salman Khan’s previous releases. Released across over 4500 screens in the domestic market the film has managed to collect a steady Rs. 15.81 crores on its opening day. With this, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has now emerged as Salman’s fourteenth highest opening day grosser. While the business of the film has managed to fare better than Salman’s previous release Dabangg which collected 14.50 crores, it does not manage to surpass his other releases like Bharat, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai, Ek Tha Tiger and others.
Currently, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan continues to run in theatres, in fact, with a relatively clear month long window till the next big release, trade predictions state that the film will continue its box office journey. Going by current trends it is more than likely that Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan will eventually cross the Rs. 100 crores mark by the end of its opening week.
