Iconic music festival Lollapalooza breached a new frontier in the eighth destination of the festival in Mumbai, India and what a banging start it was! With the inaugural, first-ever edition in Asia, Lollapalooza brought its multi-genre music experience to Indian shores, with a world-class experience at the Mahalaxmi Race Course in Mumbai, this past weekend.

Excited fans and vivacious energy set the stage, while the cooler temperatures made way for warm memories for everyone present. Organized by BookMyShow, wooing the audience on both the days were some of the most sought-after global and homegrown artists. DJ Diplo was one of the headliners who closed the Lollapalooza festival on Sunday.

DJ Diplo enthralled the Mumbai audience with a mix of Indian and international songs. To make the audience dance, the DJ mixed Hindi and Punjabi songs like ‘Jugni’, ‘Mudian Tu Bach Ke’ among others. He also mixed Samantha Ruth Prabhu amd Allu Arjun’s ‘O Antava’ as well, leaving the fans excited.

Interestingly, for the stage, he wore a tee with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s face on it. At the airport prior to his show, he was wearing Dhoom 2 printed t-shirt.

DJ Diplo, who has had a stupendous musical career as a musician and producer, has more than 20 award nominations, including this year’s 65th Grammy Awards.
