Both “Madgaon Express” and “Swatantra Veer Savarkar” have taken a decent start at the box office. Although the collections of both films should have been better, the start gives the films some chance now.
“Madgaon Express” collected approximately 1.5 crore net on Friday. The film received a boost thanks to the Buy One Get One offer, which helped push the occupancy for day 1 beyond the 10% mark. This offer will remain available for Saturday as well, indicating expectations for good growth. Let’s see how things unfold from Day 2 onwards. However, there is no doubt that it will need a positive trend from here on to have any chance of emerging as a success.
“Swatantra Veer Savarkar” collected approximately 1 crore net on Day 1. The occupancy for Friday was around 15% approximately. The film started slowly in the morning but showed some growth in the latter half of the day, pushing the collection to the 1 crore range. However, it will need significant growth on Day 2 to have any chance of surviving at the box office. Whether this is possible, we will have the answers by the end of Saturday.
