On Siddharth’s birthday, makers unveil the teaser of his bilingual Takkar : Bollywood News

Siddharth, who shot to fame with several hits like Bommarillu, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana in Telugu, will be seen in next in a Tamil-Telugu action romance titled Takkar. While Divyansha plays the female lead in the film, it is written and directed by Karthik G Krish. Celebrating the occasion of Siddharth’s birthday, the makers of the film have unveiled its teaser today. Along with that, they have also confirmed that the film will hit the big screens in May this year.

The action-packed teaser of Takkar takes us through the highs and lows in the relationship between a poor boy and a rich girl. While the guy is a hard-core romantic, the girl, despite liking him, claims she doesn’t believe in the idea of love and marriage. Although there is a sense of friction initially, as the teaser moves ahead we can see that the boy and the girl forge a strong bond. The teaser throws light on their conversations, ranging from gender equality to money and other variables in a relationship. The teaser is also laced with a sneak peek into some adrenaline-pumping action sequences interspersed with their romance.

A source close to the film opened up about it adding, “The film is an intense tale of drama, romance and action. Siddharth has been given a new look where he is sporting beard under his chin. And the makers wanted to explore a fresh chemistry between the lead pair. While audiences are with Siddharth’s lover-boy image, the filmmakers wanted to present the badass-side to the star in Takkar.”

The makers have confirmed the release date in the teaser as well to be May 26 and it will be releasing simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. The film will also star Abimanyu Singh, Yogi Babu, Munishkanth, RJ Vigneshkanth in important roles. As for the rest of the team, Nivas K Prasanna is scoring the music, Vanchinathan Murugesan is the cinematographer along with GA Gowtham as the editor.

Takkar is jointly produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Abhishek Agarwal under People Media Factory and Abhishek Agarwal Arts of Karthikeya 2 fame in collaboration with Passion Studios. The film will release simultaneously on May 26 in Tamil and Telugu.
