Rami Malek has been roped in for a limited series on the life of Buster Keaton. The series is being produced and directed by Matt Reeves and is currently being developed at Warner Bros. Television.

Keaton became known for performing exaggerated stunts and physical comedy with a deadpan facial expression. The well-known silent comedy star started out as a vaudeville actor, acting performing acts alongside his parents. Buster Keaton went on to work in films such as The Playhouse, Cops, The Electric House, Sherlock Jr and The General among several others.
According to Variety, The Batman director is attached to helm the limited series and produce via his 6th and Idaho Productions banner, which is reportedly under an overall deal at Warner Bros. TV. Malek and David Weddle would also serve as producers with Ted Cohen in talks to serve as executive producer and writer.
James Curtis’ 2022 biography “Buster Keaton: A Filmmaker’s Life” is being eyed to serve as a source material for the series. Warner Bros. is currently in negotiations to secure the rights to the book on Keaton, who passed away in 1966 at the age of 70.
Meanwhile, Rami Malek was last seen in James Bond film, No Time To Die. The acclaimed actor also won an Oscar for Best Actor in 2018 biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, for his performance as Freddie Mercury. His other credits include The War at Home, The Pacific, Short Term 12 and Papillon.
