If something exists, there is a chance Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has a hot take on it. The latest to join the list of things Kangana has mocked is Gen-Z— yes, the whole generation.

Kangana called Gen-Z “gajar muli”

Kangana took to her Instagram account to post a story in which she said, “Gen Z. HAHA their limbs and legs are like sticks, they spend most of their time Watch full reel on phones thAN actually interacting, observing or reading, they are incapable of consistency and seriously believe that they should simply be given the post of Boss who they don’t respect because their Boss believes in discipline and came up hard way and GenZ only respect quick success, GenZ loves starbuks and Avocado toast but can’t afford to buy a home, they can rent branded clothes to impress on SM but hate to commit or marry, studies even show that they are too lazy to have sex as well, the woke worm GenZ are literally like gajar muli… ROLLING EYES AND SILLY SLANG GENz is easy to influence manipulate even brain wash. well!! millennials are so much better, we rule!! how about some yoga, sports and exercise GenZ …? (sic)”

This lengthy head-scratcher of a statement left our brains in a tizzy of epic proportions. It also reminded us of the many other occasions on which Kangana has said truly absurd and random things, especially about fellow celebrities.

The random and absurd things Kangana Ranaut has said about celebrities

1. Kangana called Taapsee & Swara a lot of names

In a television interview with Arnab Goswami for Republic TV, Kangana called Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhasker “B-grade actresses,” which shocked many.

Her full statement was: “I only have to lose here, because I know tomorrow they will get some 20 needy outsiders like Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhasker who will get up and say ‘Oh only Kangana has problem with nepotism, we toh love Karan Johar.’ If you love Karan Johar, why are you both B-grade actresses? You are both better looking than Alia Bhatt and Ananya. You both are better actresses. Why don’t you get work? Your existence is a proof of nepotism. What, you telling me how happy you are with the industry?”

Given the fact that many used to think Kangana supports women and outsiders, this backhanded compliment seemed more like a dismissal of Swara and Taapsee’s accomplishments, as if their place in the industry is non-existent. Was such a statement necessary?

2. Kangana called Alia Bhatt “Papa Ki Pari”

When Alia began promoting Gangubai Kathiawadi last year, Kangana took to her Instagram Stories and took a jibe at her by writing: “This Friday 200cr will be burnt to ashes at the box office… For a papa [movie mafia daddy] ki pari [who likes to keep a British passport] because papa wants to prove that romcom bimbo can act… Biggest drawback of the film is wrong casting… Yeh nahi sudhrenge no wonder screens are going to South and Hollywood films… Bollywood is destined to doom jab tak movie mafia has power…(sic)”

Now, we’ll admit that there are many stars, including star kids who cannot act, and that nepotism is an unfortunate reality. But given Alia’s performances in Raazi, Gully Boy, Darlings, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Dear Zindagi, and Highway, questioning her ability to act is a reach.

3. Kangana’s tirade about Ayushmann Khurrana

Kangana decided to support Kamaal R Khan’s tirade against Bollywood by dragging Ayushmann Khurrana, a relatively non-controversial actor, into the midst of it all.

She called him a sycophant and quote-tweeted KRK, writing, ”Chaploos outsiders support mafia only for one reason and the reason is their mediocrity, nobody is threatened by them and they take full advantage of conflicts faced by few like Kangana and SSR by openly denying and mocking them.” Like, Ayushmann? Really?

4. Kangana’s war of words with Diljit Dosanjh

One of Kangana’s most random fights was with Diljit Dosanjh. When the protests over the Farm Bill began and Diljit supported the farmers, she started fighting with him over an elderly activist, then over Rihanna, and then also said he has a “Canada gang,” among other things.

Ooo Karan johar ke paltu, jo dadi Saheen Baag mein apni citizenship keliye protest kar rahi thi wohi Bilkis Bano dadi ji Farmers ke MSP ke liye bhi protest karti hue dikhi. Mahinder Kaur ji ko toh main janti bhi nahin. Kya drama chalaya hai tum logon ne? Stop this right now. (sic)”

While we don’t understand what Karan Johar had to do with Diljit Dosanjh supporting farmers’ rights, this brawl really went on for a while. For those of us watching the drama unfurl, Kangana and Diljit’s long drawn-out Twitter war was quite something, because Diljit actually decided to engage and kept responding to her. This was unlike her fights with many other celebrities, who don’t often react to the statements Kangana makes.

5. Kangana’s tragic take on Deepika’s depression

After the tragic passing of Sushant Singh Rajput, Kangana had a lot to say, but not necessarily in a positive way. In one of her Instagram videos, she questioned if Deepika Padukone really did suffer from depression, which in our view, was a new low.

Kangana said, “Yeh jo depression theory hai, yeh Deepika Padukone ji hai woh achanak se 2015-16 mein kehti hain ki ‘2008 mein mujhe dump kiya gaya tha, toh mujhe uska depression aaj ho gaya hai. Aath saalon baad. Uske baad, beech mein unke affairs bhi chal rahe hain, woh ache se kaam bhi kar rahin hain, woh bahar jaake sajti sawartin bhi hain, sab kuch hota hai, shaadi bhi ho rahi hai, but depression bhi saath saath mein hai. Aisa kaise depression hota hai joki aath saal baad hota hai (sic)?”

Barring this, Kangana has obviously said enough about Karan Johar to fill an entire book. She has, in passing, also accused Ranbir Kapoor of being a “serial skirt-chaser.” An actress who once seemed like she was speaking the truth to power, today Kangana has befuddled us with her views.
