Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji is all set to kick start her 2023 with Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway. The trailer of the film has garnered immense love from critics and many celebrities. With films like No One Killed Jessica, the Mardaani series, and Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, actress Rani Mukerji has carved a niche for herself when it comes to women-centric films. The actress is once again back in her essence with Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway, in which she is playing a role of a mother, who fought for her children.
Rani Mukerji reveals her husband, Aditya Chopra’s reaction to Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway; says, “Adi was shocked seeing the film”
Rani recently attended the film promotion event where she felt overwhelmed when she saw Sagarika Chakaraborty, the mother whose life the movie is based on. She also spoke about how her husband Aditya Chopra felt when he saw her movie.
Rani discussed associating with other production houses and conveyed Aditya’s opinion to the movie during the event. She said, “My husband works with so many actresses, why should I not work with other producers? All I need is a good script – be it YRF or otherwise. Adi was shocked seeing the film. He was deeply moved and I don’t think I have seen him so moved in any film.”
She further added, “Last he was so moved is when Yash uncle passed away. He is a parent today, so it hit him. He was very sweet and gave me a side hug as if I am his child. He said well done and I said, thank you. It was a moment because Adi praises me behind my back. I think he could not stop himself and he was moved by the film.”
For the first time in many years, Aditya was exclusively interviewed by the Netflix docu-series last month. The reclusive producer spoke candidly with director Smriti Mundhra about the founding of his father’s production company, Yash Raj Films, and its legacy. Together with other Bollywood A-list celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Amitabh Bachchan, and many more, Rani was also featured in the series.
As for Rani, she was last seen in Bunty Aur Babli 2 starring alongside Saif Ali Khan, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh. She will be next seen in Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway which features Anirban Bhattacharya, Jim Sarbh and Neena Gupta and is slated to release on March 17, 2023.
