“Sankranthiki Vasthunnamu” first half is passable, the entire second half is farcical. WHEN DONE RIGHT, Farcical comedy is ACCEPTABLE. However, when farcical genre falls short, it feels over-the-top, chaotic – precisely the issue with second half. Venkatesh’s star power and a couple of superhit songs manage this film a watchable one for family audience.

You may have to stop using your thinking brain throughout the film and excuse the over-the-top loud comedy in the second half to get entertained. Overall, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam is a decent passable entertainer to watch in theatres with family.

Overall, the cinematography is serviceable at best. Editing by Tammiraju falls short and leaves much to be desired.The writing is merely passable. The comedy is just okay—decent at times—but never manages to elevate the film, which is disappointing for one that heavily relies on humor. It lacks originality and fails to create unique situations or genuine laughs. The production values by SVC (Sri Venkateswara Creations) are adequate.
