Shaadi Shuda is a film production company, Wild Buffaloes Entertainment’s short film. Directed by Divyansh Pandit and co- written by Aamir Bengali and Divyansh, this short film has been presented by the veteran director Pradeep Sarkar (Mardaani and Parineeta).
Screenwriter Aamir Bengali talks about his short film, Shaadi Shuda produced by Wild Buffaloes Entertainment
It was during his early years of venturing into feature film writing, that Aamir met the national award filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar, in 2018. The writer states that his relation with Mr. Sarkar has since then, only bloomed by the day. Aamir gladly expresses, “When I met dada for the first time, it felt like a dream to be seated before a national award filmmaker. Like any other budding writer, I wished to work with dada. After many years when I wrote my first short film, I requested dada to present it.” Shaadi Shuda is a romantic story and Aamir’s first collaboration with Divyansh on a short film.
Besides this short film, Aamir Bengali is also the lead screenwriter on Palatwar, a feature film which will be directed by Divyansh Pandit. The film is being produced by Deepak Mukut (fame Mulk) and music by Ajay Atul.
Aamir began his tryst with writing with a BTL advertising agency as a script writer for brand AVs, post which, he ventured into the world of mainstream fiction writing with his first endeavour, a cerebral thriller drama. The film is currently being produced by Hasnain Husaini of Bombay Stencil, whose maiden co production was Ajay Devgn’s Runway 34 followed by Khuda Haafiz – Chapter 2.
On his experience of writing a short film, he said, “So writing has always been my passion. And this short film was purely the director’s conviction because while writing it, we were very clear that we are experimenting in the short film space. However, we proceeded confidently and in the process, I kind of had to rediscover myself because Divyansh is seasoned when it comes to short films but for me, it was my maiden project.” The short film has been co-written by Aamir and Divyansh.
On his association and experience so far with Mr. Pradeep Sarkar, Aamir gladly expressed, “As I always say, Dada is a sweetheart. He is a child at heart and that keeps his purity intact. In fact, in 2018, Divyansh and I screened ‘Hickey’ for him, a short film directed by Divyansh and we requested him to present it. He loved Divyansh’s work and happily agreed. Today that short film has organically touched almost 5million views on the Wild Buffaloes Entertainment Youtube channel. Even for Shaadi Shuda, I personally requested him to present it for me and he agreed after hearing the narration. Over the last 6 years, my relationship with Dada has stood on two strong pillars, love and truth. We are nothing less than honoured to have his name as the presenter in our short film.”
Aamir is currently also authoring a book, which is a biography on the life of a former IRS officer, Deepak Pandit, who is a Retd. Assistant commissioner of Mumbai customs and GST. The book is being co-authored with Aamir by Sheetal Bhan.
