SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan to sit out of FML album promotions due to health concerns

South Korean pop sensation band SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan will reportedly sit out of FML album promotions due to health concerns. According to the Korean tabloid Soompi, on April 29, PLEDIS Entertainment announced that Seungkwan would be sitting out some of their upcoming activities, including their fan signing event, as he is “currently feeling unwell.”

The group’s agency issued an official statement announcing the news and wrote, “Hello. This is PLEDIS Entertainment. We would like to inform you that SEVENTEEN member Seungkwan will not be able to participate in some of SEVENTEEN’s 10th Mini Album “FML” activities, including the SEVENTEEN 10th Mini Album Fan “FML” Signing event, as he is currently feeling unwell.”

They continued, “We offer our apologies to our fans and ask for your generous understanding. Our company is committed to providing necessary support and assistance to Seungkwan during his recovery process. Thank you.”

The thirteen-member group made a much-anticipated comeback and marked their first release of 2023 with the EP FML. The 6-track EP consists of a stunning mix of dance-pop, hip hop and R&B – something for every listener. With FML, SEVENTEEN offer two lead singles—’F*ck My Life’ and ‘Super’—for the first time since their debut.

The group’s leader S.COUPS said, “Our new album contains both the music we want to present and the messages we want to convey,” commenting on the two tracks of contrasting nature that boast the act’s flair as both K-pop performance icons and a companion to their fans and their listeners.
