At the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre’s (NMACC) inauguration ceremony last night, Shah Rukh Khan made an appearance. Even though his family members Gauri, Aryan, and Suhana made an appearance alongside their Salman Khan, the Pathaan actor opted to skip the red carpet. Yet, when interacting with actress-video jockey Anusha Dandekar at the event, SRK was perfectly clear and compelling.
Shah Rukh Khan lauds Nita Ambani; says, “Nita has taken time and resources out and she has put it into a place where it is going to facilitate arts”
NMACC has posted a video where SRK discussed the grand cultural center’s future plans of Nita Ambani and the amenities that will be made available to artists there. He said, “I just think Nita has spent so many years trying to get this. I have known that…I think 10-12 years back we have been discussing this and she has been talking to me, she showed me the blue print, it was designed in a bigger way differently and now it is designed very differently and it is such a spirit of passion here, it is such a journey of passion here and someone who has followed art herself and we all do follow art but we don’t create something which facilitates arts.”
Further speaking highly of Nita, Shah Rukh said, “I am also an artist, so many of us are artists and she has taken time and resources out and she has put it into a place where it is going to facilitate arts even more. It is like the great Mr. Sachin Tendulkar teaching kids how to play cricket. So if art lover and art performers don’t do it, who else would. We can’t leave it to businessmen only.”
When Anusha Dandekar asked if he had one word to describe the night, SRK replied, “One word would be difficult. I could say spectacular, I could say fantastic, I could say mesmerizing but what I would like to say is after coming here, I remember what I always followed in my life and it has reminded me of that and I am going to go back, inspire it again and work harder because at the end of it all when you see something like this, you remember that there is no business like show business.”
On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in blockbuster film Pathaan, helmed by Siddhart Anand. It also featured Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in pivotal roles. SRK has Jawan and Dunki in his pipeline for this year.
