Shefali Shah has shared a deep note for Vidya Balan and the entire team of Jalsa as the film clocked one year today. Directed by Suresh Triveni, the movie also starred Rohini Hattangadi, Surya Kasibhatla and Manav Kaul, among others. It was released on Amazon Prime Video a year ago.

Taking onto her official Instagram account, Shefali wrote, “A year since Jalsa released and it’s one of the films that’s closest to my heart. As raw as real as organic as it gets. And surrounded by just amazing amazing people who made me feel loved, respected and valued. To begin with Suresh who was adamant he wouldn’t do the film minus me. To @balanvidya who is so giving and accepting and appreciative not just as an actor but as a person. @surya.kasibhatla true to his name, sunshine in human form. To @abundantiaent #vikram malhotra for a team player and not just a producer. To every single person on set.”
She added, “And my precious team @pallu_symons @sandhyabellarae @imraj_gupta. I can’t be grateful enough for projects that not only push you as an actor but help you grow as a person. And Jalsa is one such. A true celebration of camaraderie, team spirit and unity and coming together of varied people’s ideas, thoughts and feelings merging into one to create a complete experience. Jalsa was about a successful and honest journalist Maya (Vidya), who shares a close bond with her house help Rukhsana, played by Shefali. Once while returning from work, Maya’s car accidentally hits a young girl, who happens to be Rukhsana’s daughter.
Shefali Shah will next be seen in the third season of her crime show Delhi Crime on Netflix.
