Shehzada did below par on Friday (1st day) at the box office. The film started slowly and showed limited jumps all through the day. Evening and night shows showed a little bit better occupancy and that helped the business a bit.

Shehzada collected 6 crore nett approx on day 1. Collections are below par and ideally, it needed an 8-9 crore kind of opening. Again all is still not lost and if the film can register a good growth of 30-40% on Saturday then it will be back on track.

Shehzada’s Friday occupancy was around 18-20%. Occupancy is also below the expected level. Ideally, a 25% occupancy for day 1 would have been decent to a good start to its box office campaign. The film has managed 2900 screens approx all India and which is sufficient enough for a film like Shehzada.

Shehzada will now need a big boost on Saturday and Sunday. It needs to collect at least 25 crore nett for the first weekend. Ideally, a 30 cr nett business would have been a respectable one. Again considering the start it got on Friday, it will do well even to touch the 25 cr NBOC in India by the end of 1st Sunday. Let’s wait and see how thing unfolds on day 2.
