Before pan-India fame became a thing, one actor who attained it is Sonu Sood. Sonu Sood talks about work culture in South industry; recalls seeing people taking nap break on set
It all happened during his appearance in ANI’s podcast. The host asked to share his experience of working in both industries. Recalling the same, Sood asserted, “They have something called the ‘sunrise call sheet’ which means that the first shot will be done as soon as the sun rises.” He further explained that in his early days, he wondered why they didn’t serve breakfast before shooting and recalled what he was told. “They said work is more important, so we start working first and then eat, and then we can continue to work for many hours,” he said.
As the conversation progressed, the Dabangg actor said, “I used to be very shocked. There is a one-hour lunch break. That, they used to eat in 20-25 minutes and then everyone would find a corner and sleep. I was shooting in Madurai and I was sitting on a chair, I looked up and saw everyone was taking a nap. I asked a guy why is everyone sleeping and he told me that we feel fresh after taking a nap. That’s the culture there.”
Coming to the professional front, the 49-year-old actor was last seen in the Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar starrer Samrat Prithviraj, which was released in June 2022. He will be next seen in Fateh co-starring Jacqueline Fernandez. A few days back, Sood took to his social media handle and announced that he has started shooting for the upcoming project.
