On Saturday, following his acquittal from the suicide case of actor Jiah Khan, Sooraj Pancholi visited the Siddhivinayak temple located in Mumbai. The special CBI court declared him not guilty of the accusations, citing insufficient evidence against him. Pancholi had been accused of aiding the suicide of actor Jiah Khan back in 2013.

Sooraj, who was acquitted of all charges in the Jiah Khan suicide case, was spotted arriving at the Mumbai temple. The temple premises were crowded with paparazzi and media personnel. The actor was dressed in a black T-shirt, white jacket, and jeans as he made his way to the temple after being released from court. Upon completing his prayers, he walked back to the main entrance of the temple where he stopped to take photographs with some fans while the media eagerly waited for him. He was accompanied by police officers during this time.
Earlier Sooraj had posted an Instagram story shortly after receiving significant legal relief in the case. Sooraj took to his Instagram Stories and wrote, “The TRUTH always wins!”
Sooraj Pancholi, who was in a relationship with Jiah Khan when she died, was accused of abetting her commit suicide by Jiah’s mother Rabi Khan after a big argument between the two. However, on April 28th, the court acquitted the Sooraj of all charges, stating that there was insufficient evidence linking him to the abetment. Sooraj, the son of Zarina and Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi, made his Bollywood debut in 2015 with the movie Hero, alongside Athiya Shetty. He appeared in court on the same day, accompanied by his mother and actress Zarina Wahab.
Almost ten years before, on June 3, 2013, Jiah’s mother Rabia Khan discovered her daughter hanging from the ceiling of her home in Mumbai’s Juhu neighbourhood. The Juhu Police detained actor Suraj Pancholi, Jiah Khan’s then-boyfriend, for aiding suicide after a 6-page letter allegedly written by Jiah was discovered at her home. It was asserted that the suicide letter was evidence against Suraj and that it represented their turbulent relationship.
