To celebrate actor Sonu Sood’s 51st birthday on June 30, as many as 1,200 students from Hawking International School in Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh, made a huge portrait of him and showcased their admiration for the actor for his humanitarian contribution to society.
A special tribute to Sonu Sood
One of Sonu’s fans – Purushottam, who works at the Hawkings International School in the Kuppam area of Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, dedicated an artwork to him. Purushottam had asked the 1,200 students of the school to assemble in such a way that it outlines the actor’s facial features. Not only this, but he also asked the students to form a line in such a manner that it creates the message — ‘HBD Real Hero’.

Sonu Sood – The beacon of hope
The actor opened the doors of his hotel in Mumbai’s Juhu for the healthcare workers who were at risk of being exposed to the coronavirus during the pandemic. He also arranged buses, trains, and flight services for the migrant workers who were going to their hometowns on feet during the lockdown. Not only this, but he also arranged food for the poor people who were left with no food during the lockdown.
Sonu Sood Charity Foundation
After the pandemic, the Sonu Sood Charity Foundation provided medical help to the underprivileged. Among them was Chaumukhi Kumari, a girl born with a rare condition who underwent a life-changing surgery with the help of Sonu’s charitable foundation.
He also helped an Indian man, Sahil Khan, stranded in Thailand to return home safely. Every day, people gather outside his home in Mumbai seeking help.

Sonu Sood’s awards and recognitions
In 2021, the Delhi Government announced Sonu as the brand ambassador of its ‘Desh ke Mentor’ programme for his humanitarian contribution. The residents of a village in Telangana have constructed a temple dedicated to the actor for helping migrant workers during the pandemic.
Sonu Sood’s career in the film industry
Sood made his Bollywood debut with Yuva in 2004 where he played the role of Abhishek Bachchan’s brother, and rose to limelight with 2005 hit, Aashiq Banaya Aapne.
The actor will be next seen in Fateh. The film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and will hit theatres on January 10, 2025.
