SUGA’s ‘D-DAY’ grabs No. 2 spot on Billboard 200; title track ‘Haegeum’ debuts on Billboard Hot 100

South Korean superband BTS’ SUGA’s solo album D-DAY, under the stage name of Agust D, debuted at No. 2 on Billboard 200! The album’s title track ‘Haegeum’ also made it to the Billboard Hot 100 chart at 58th spot!

According to Allkpop tabloid, Agust D’s D-DAY debuted at No. 2 on this week’s Billboard 200 with a total of 140,000 units, 17.9 million streams, and 122,000 pure sales in the U.S. The album ties with Jimin’s FACE as the highest-charting debut rank on the U.S. main album chart.

Additionally, the album’s title track ‘Haegeum’ successfully made it to this week’s Hot 100, debuting at No. 58, marking SUGA’s fourth overall entry on the chart. Moreover, Agust D secured No. 3 rank, his highest peak yet, on the Artist 100 chart. This also marks the second highest-peaking position held by a K-Pop solo act.

Meanwhile, SUGA successfully kicked off his solo world tour SUGA | Agust D TOUR ‘D-DAY,’ two nights in Belmont Park and one night in Newark on April 26, 27 and 29. The whole U.S. leg was sold out early and the shows at USB Arena and Prudential Center over three nights were attended by approximately 43,000 people.

SUGA gave a show-stopping performance each night, with various unique elements to deliver his stories as SUGA and Agust D at the same time. He performed tracks from his solo discography, boasting his live performance skills with confidence.

SUGA | Agust D TOUR ‘D-DAY’ IN U.S. will continue to be held in Rosemont, IL; Los Angeles, CA; Oakland, CA until May 17. Then, the tour will hit Asia: Jakarta, Indonesia; Bangkok, Thailand; Singapore; Kanagawa, Japan; and Seoul, South Korea until June 25.
