Marriages in India are nothing less than a festival. The week-long functions from haldi to the main day are celebrated in a total filmy and hatke style. From mesmerising decorations to destination weddings, the marriage of today’s time is no less than an extravaganza event. And in the midst of all this, one thing that remains the centre of attention is the bride and her unique D-day ensemble.
In the modern age, when most brides want to look different and are opting for unique colour ensembles, there are some who still believe in dazzling the traditional laal shadi ka joda. We stumbled upon one such bride who donned a beautiful red-hued lehenga on her D-day. However, the modern-day bride didn’t stay behind in stealing the show with her customised bridal dupatta.

The bride’s choice of wedding ensemble
The bride of the week, Simran Colombowala got married to the love of her life, Abhishek Shoor in a dreamy wedding affair. However, it was the bride’s choice of the ensemble for her big day that left our jaw drops. Ditching the trendy pastel hues, Simran opted for a stunning red-coloured lehenga from the shelves of designer, Sunaina Khera. Her outfit featured intricate embellishment work all over it.
Simran’s customised wedding veil
The bride paired her lehenga with a matching quarter-sleeved choli featured with similar heavy embellished work. However, it was her bridal veil which was the highlight of her overall look. She paired her lehenga choli with a beautiful customised dupatta. Her dupatta was intricately designed with a heavily embellished border and flower embroidery all over it. However, it was the special message on her dupatta that caught our attention. One corner of the dupatta featured the bride and groom’s name and their wedding date.

The bride’s choice of jewellery
Simran accentuated her look with minimal jewellery, including a kundan choker necklace, a matching pair of earrings, an elegant nath, a sleek matha patti, kadas, rings and red chooda. A dewy makeup base, smokey eyes, nude lips, highlighted cheekbones, and a flower-adorned bun hairdo added stars to her bridal glow.
